Parent To Do List for Back to School

The 2017-18 Summer Mailer is now available to all Hillview families on the Hillview Middle School website! If you did not request to go paperless, you will receive hard copies of the documents via U.S Mail in the next few days. A BIG thank you to those that opted to go Paperless! Your request saved time and money for Hillview.

1. Purchase your student’s ASB card and activities-related items at the new ASB online store

Check your email to find the instructions from Mr Haug on registering for an account on the ASB Online Store so you may purchase the ASB card, PE uniform and spirit wear. Parents have to register themselves and then add a student to their account with the student’s 6 digit ID number. Click here to go to school’s site for more information.

All ASB items are optional but help support Hillview’s student activities program

    • ASB card for each student — Includes a yearbook, t-shirt, discounted dance tickets
    • PE uniforms — Per state law, Hillview no longer requires PE uniforms but there is a PE dress code, and details can be found on the ASB Online Store — click here

2. Make a financial commitment to the PTO & MPAEF

    • http://hillviewpto.org/membership/Hillview PTO funding supports field trips, Mini-Courses, expanded elective offerings, the After School Math Clinic, lunchtime clubs, Camp Hillview, Parent Ed speakers and much more
    • The funding need for the PTO is $250 per student

3. Complete the iPad packet and select yes or no for optional iPad insuranceclick here

    • 6th graders have a longer process for their iPads that is different from the one for 7th and 8th graders
    • All students must agree to and sign the Hillview iPad Acceptable Use Policy get their iPad, and decide yes or no to optional iPad insurance
    • Students who did not turn in the signed paperwork at Luau should deliver the paperwork to the first day of school

4. Consider contributing to PTO programs

After you join the PTO, please consider a donation to the other direct-funded PTO programs — click here

    • Friends of the Library and College Bound
    • 6th graders: pay the suggested $35 fee for Camp Hillview
    • 8th graders: contribute to the 8th Grade Graduation Night Celebration – June 15, 2018
